Product Details
Our bullet-resistant wood veneered half-lite doors and hollow metal frame assemblies are engineered with a “non-ricochet” design to safely capture and retain projectiles, reducing the risk of injury or lateral penetration. The frames are constructed from cold-rolled, prime-painted steel that is precision-cut, formed, and welded to size, with ballistic armor integrated into the 2″ face to meet the specified protection level. The doors feature a fiberglass armor core with a particle board substrate, veneered door skins, and edge molding, offering a blend of robust security and refined aesthetics. The half-lite design provides enhanced visibility while maintaining ballistic protection. Doors rated for ballistic levels 1 through 3 are 1 3/4″ thick, while levels 4 through 8 are 2″ or thicker for higher threat levels. Each assembly is factory-prepped, mounted on its frame with a heavy-duty, clear anodized aluminum continuous gear hinge, and ready for hardware options like cylindrical locks, mortise locksets, or exit devices. This design ensures durability, functionality, and reliable protection with added visibility.
