For most corporate office environments across the United States, Levels 1 through 3 cover the realistic threat range — Level 1 addresses common handgun threats, Level 3 handles higher-powered handgun rounds that appear in a growing percentage of workplace incidents. You don’t need Level 8 in a standard office lobby, and specifying beyond your actual threat environment adds cost and weight without meaningful benefit.
