Ballistic Doors - View Lite

Our bullet-resistant wood veneered view lite doors and hollow metal frame assemblies are designed with a “non-ricochet” feature to safely capture and retain projectiles, reducing the risk of injury or lateral penetration. The frames are constructed from cold-rolled, prime-painted steel, precision-cut, formed, and welded to size, with ballistic armor integrated into the 2″ face to meet the specified protection level. The doors feature a fiberglass armor core with a particle board substrate, veneered door skins, and edge molding, providing a secure and elegant design. The view lite offers clear visibility without compromising safety. Ballistic Levels 1 through 3 doors are 1 3/4″ thick, while Levels 4 through 8 are 2″ or thicker for enhanced protection. Each assembly is factory-prepped, mounted on its frame with a heavy-duty, clear anodized aluminum continuous gear hinge, and ready for hardware options such as cylindrical locks, mortise locksets, or exit devices. This design ensures optimal security, functionality, and a refined appearance with visibility.
