Our Story

For more than 45 years, Action Bullet Resistant has been a leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of UL 752 bullet resistant windows, doors, storefronts, and security glazing systems. Founded by John Schindler Sr. and Leonard Simonetti, the company was created in response to the growing need for reliable bullet-resistant protection in gas stations and high-risk commercial environments.

At the time, many storefronts lacked the ability to withstand armed attacks, leaving employees and customers vulnerable. Recognizing this critical gap in safety, the founders combined their expertise in metal fabrication, glazing systems, and security design to develop some of the industry’s earliest true bullet-resistant storefront systems. Their goal was simple but powerful: protect people and property with real-world ballistic protection that performs when it matters most.

Over the decades, Action Bullet Resistant has grown into one of the most respected manufacturers of custom ballistic glazing systems and bullet resistant architectural solutions in the industry. The company’s reputation has been built on engineering expertise, rigorous testing, and American manufacturing, providing security solutions that meet the demanding requirements of government, commercial, and institutional facilities.

Today, Action Bullet Resistant is owned and led by Edward Simonetti and Joseph Hayes, PE, LEED AP, who continue to expand the company’s engineering capabilities and product offerings while maintaining the core principles established by its founders. Under their leadership, Action has evolved from a regional supplier of gas station protection systems into a global provider of advanced ballistic protection solutions.
